Terms of Service

Effective May 16, 2026

The short version. Eczema Academy provides educational content about eczema. Use the free content freely. If you buy a course, you have 14 days to ask for a full refund, no questions. We do not provide medical advice. By using the site you agree to these terms.

1. About these Terms

These Terms govern your use of Eczema Academy (the website, quiz, newsletter, courses, and any other service we offer). By using any of it you accept these Terms. If you do not, please do not use the service.

2. What we offer

3. Health disclaimer (important)

Eczema Academy provides education, not medical care. Nothing on this site, in our emails, or in any course is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Carolyn Akinyemi is an eczema researcher and educator, not your physician. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for diagnosis, treatment, and any change to your medication or routine. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

Results vary person to person. Outcomes described in case studies, testimonials, or quiz results are representative, not guaranteed. Eczema is multifactorial; what helps one person may not help another.

4. Course purchase, license, and refund

When you buy a course you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to access the materials for as long as the course exists on our platform.

14-day money-back guarantee. If a course is not right for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. You may keep any bonuses we sent you. No reason required.

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly share the course content. You may use what you learn for yourself and your family.

5. Acceptable use

Don't:

6. Intellectual property

All content on the site is owned by Eczema Academy or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and other laws. The word marks "Eczema Academy", "Eczema Decoded", and our logos are trademarks. You may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link back to the original.

7. Third-party links

Where we link to third-party sites (research papers, books, supplements, products), we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or any transaction you make with them. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details on any commission-bearing links.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eczema Academy, Carolyn Akinyemi, and our staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (for example, certain consumer rights in the UK, EU, Australia, and elsewhere).

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or applicable law. Refunds in such cases are at our discretion.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new Effective Date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction grants you the right to bring proceedings locally.
