The short version. We use a small number of essential cookies so the site works (session, your quiz progress). We do not load any tracking or advertising cookies until you opt in.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let the site remember things between page loads.

What we use

Essential — session, CSRF protection, login state. Required for the site to function. Cannot be switched off.
Functional — remembers your name and quiz progress so you don't have to start over if you come back. You can clear these by clearing your browser's site data.
Analytics — not used by default. If we add a privacy-friendly analytics tool (e.g. Plausible, Fathom), we'll update this notice and re-request consent for EU/UK visitors.
Advertising — we do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Third-party cookies

YouTube embeds, when you click play, may set their own cookies under Google's policies. We use the privacy-enhanced YouTube embed mode where available. Stripe / PayPal also set cookies on their own checkout pages when you purchase a course; those are governed by their privacy policies.

Your control

You can block or delete cookies at any time using your browser's settings. Doing so may break parts of the site (for example, you may not be able to take the quiz). For EU/UK visitors, our cookie banner gives you granular consent controls.
